Gros Morne Whirl

A giant Canadiana whirligig inspired by the animals of the Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland. Wind powered kinetic sculpture mounted on a wood pole. The Cast concrete base plate with stamped designs is part of a community project executed by local residents. Part of the 150th celebrations of Canada. Commissioned by Creative Gros Morne. Norris Point, Newfoundland. A wildlife themed wind jack that celebrates wildlife, the environment, people and the culture of Gros Morne National Park. In 1987, the Tablelands close to Norris Point were designated a World Heritage Site which acknowledges the areas geological diversity and striking barren shapes. The Gros Morne Whirl 2017 $50,000 7’wX 20’H X 7’D Open Air setting.
